Overview

This report presents the findings of the IV Multilateral Evaluation Round of the MESECVI, which analyzes the progress and challenges in the implementation of the Belém do Pará Convention. In this edition, the Committee of Experts examines the information submitted by 12 Latin American States, with a special focus on the situation and measures adopted regarding access to justice, truth, and reparation for women, an obligation established in Articles 7 and 8 of the Convention.

The report is based on information provided by the States, which responded to 137 progress indicators, as well as contributions from 23 civil society organizations, which submitted 14 national shadow reports and 2 regional reports. Additionally, it examines key issues identified throughout this round, such as violence against women with disabilities and the situation of child marriage and pregnancy in the region.
