The aim of this Guide to support the use in the countries of the region of the System of Progress Indicators of the MESECVI. The analysis matrix, prepared based on indicators and qualitative signs of progress, will make is possible to measure fulfillment of the obligations contained in the Belém do Pará Convention and other normative frameworks. Another aim of the Guide is to facilitate the use of the indicators by each State Party to the Convention in planning, budgetary, and monitoring/evaluation processes.
Declaration on Violence against Women, Girls and Adolescents and their Sexual and Reproductive Rights (MESECVI, 2014)
The Committee of Experts of the MESECVI adopted this Declaration to strengthen the guarantee and protection of the sexual and reproductive rights of the women of the region, especially in situations of violence, which are part of the catalog of human rights protected and defended under the universal human rights system and the inter-American human rights system.
Second Follow-up Report to the Recommendations of the Committee of Experts of the MESECVI (MESECVI, 2014)
Utilizing for the first time the System of Progress Indicators, this report analyzes the extent to which the States Party have implemented the 42 recommendations issued by the Committee of Experts of the MESECVI in the Second Hemispheric Report on the Implementation of the Belém do Pará Convention (2012), as well as the progress they have made with and challenges they face in achieving its full implementation.
Prepared by the Committee of Experts of the MESECVI, this report gives account of the progress made by the States Party in implementing the Belém do Pará Convention, as well as the significant challenges that remain in the region in terms of timely, appropriate and effective response to acts of violence against women in a human rights context.
First Follow-up Report on the Recommendations of the Committee of Experts of the MESECVI (MESECVI, 2010)
Based on the 18 reports submitted by the States Party to the Committee of Experts of the MESECVI, this report gives account of the level of implementation of the 51 Recommendations issued by the Committee in the First Hemispheric Report on the Implementation of the Belém do Pará Convention (2008).
